Installation of a natural gas engine replaced the existing boilers in the Central Services Building on the campus.
- The outcomes of our installation are:
- a significant reduction in electric consumption
- 40 percent to 70 percent increased efficiency in the use of electric and gas
- the use of exhaust heat to generate steam for the steam loop
- the use of engine heat to supplement hot water heating
